The Bible Gateway is a tool for reading and researching scripture online — all in the language or translation of your choice! It provides advanced searching capabilities, which allow readers to find and compare particular passages in scripture based on keywords, phrases, or scripture reference. The Bible Gateway was first started in 1993 by Nick Hengeveld who was attending Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI at the time. In 1995 Nick became the first webmaster at Gospelcom.net, now Gospel.com. He brought the Bible Gateway with him, and for 13 years the Bible Gateway has been a favourite online resource. Today, the Bible Gateway team continues to add new translations, languages, and functionality to the site.
The Alpha course is designed primarily for people who aren’t churchgoers and each course is open to everyone who would like to attend. Guests attend for a wide variety of reasons – some want to investigate whether God exists; others are concerned about what happens after death. Some people have particular questions that they would like to discuss; others want to understand other peoples’ beliefs or would like to explore what the purpose of life is. Many guests have never been to church, others may have attended church occasionally but feel they have never really understood the basics of the Christian faith.
Care for the Family is a national charity which aims to promote strong family life and to help those hurting because of family breakdown. We couldn’t do this without the help of our supporters – people like you. Together we can strengthen marriages, support parents and help the bereaved. We do this through events, resources, training and networks of befrienders.
Waleswide facilitates the planting of new churches in Wales and the strengthening of existing ones where appropriate. We sense urgency from the Holy Spirit for this being felt across the various evangelical networks in Wales. Waleswide seeks a cooperative effort among evangelicals throughout Wales in order to encourage the multiplication of Bible believing Christian churches throughout the nation. We work with church groupings and networks that share our values and doctrinal distinctives whether Anglican, Baptist, Reformed, Charismatic, Welsh Language denominations or independent. We are not seeking to form a new denomination or church grouping of our own.
